Phrao – Chiang Dao Loop
ride out of Chiang Mai on Highway 1001 to Phrao for lunch. Turn left onto 1150 at Phrao, and ride out to the junction of Highway 107. Turn left and stop for coffee in Chiang Dao, or visit the caves, then a liesurely 75km return to Chiang Mai – approx 250 kms in all.
The Mae Sa Valley – Samoeng Loop
The is a 100km loop from Chiang Mai, usually ridden north to Mae Rim, up the Mae Sa valley, around the mountains to Samoeng for lunch. Then, return 5kms to the junction, and swing south / east towards Hang dong, returning to Chiang Mai.
