A few days ago we announced that Suter, the well-known chassis manufacturer for Moto2, had built a 2T motorcycle to compete in events like the Jerez GP Legends, specially designed for those who could not get hold of any of the very rare 500 GP that remain, most of them in the hands of a few collectors, who suffer thinking about the very expensive consequences of a fall. Well, yesterday the Swiss manufacturer made public both the photos and the technical data … and the price.
The new one Suter MMX 500 It also fulfills the aspirations of those who have always believed that true competition motorcycles are 2T. Suter follows another small manufacturer, Ronax, which makes a replica of Valentino Rossi’s NSR 500.
Analyzing the data provided, these are the ones that take away the hiccups: 576 cc V4 engine, with a power of ¡195 hp at 13,000 rpm !, for a weight of only 127 kg, better than Doohan and Crivillé’s NSR500… to hold on tight. The maximum speed is close to 320 km / h.
As in a true competition motorcycle that it is, the MMX 500 has multiple possibilities of adjustments, such as the steering angle, riding position, swingarm height, etc. The suspensions are Öhlins ‘black leg’, as well as the Brembo brakes, although the discs are obviously made of steel and not carbon.
In the photos it can be seen in the basic version, unpainted, and also finished with Honda NSR 500 Rothmans ‘Wayne Gardner’.
Does the price of the Suter MMX 500? 120,000 euros. Only 99 units will be manufactured.
