Zach Osborne took the holeshot and he had enough speed to keep the group behind him in the 450SX class main event, but a huge mistake in the whoops allowed three drivers to pass him as he recovered. Justin Brayton (Muc-Off Honda) took the lead with Ken Roczen right next to his rear wheel. Roczen was coming off a three-game win streak, but that only further motivated Cooper Webb; the KTM rider came close to third. Just over three minutes into the 20-minute race plus one lap, Webb positioned himself to pass both drivers in a single corner. Thus, Webb took the lead and Roczen seized the moment to overtake Brayton.

The winner of the first round, Justin barcia (Troy Lee Designs / Red Bull / GASGAS Factory Racing), He was soon past Brayton, and the three drivers rolled down the track in near formation, albeit slightly out of reach for either of them to make an overtaking attempt. With just over five minutes to go to the end of the race, Barcia had an incredible setback at the “whoops”. He was thrown off his motorcycle, but managed to stay on top of the motorcycle without falling to the ground. Osborne took advantage of the error to take the third position in the same section in which he had lost the lead of the race – and held it until the end despite the constant push from Barcia.

The current champion of 2020, Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki), he had a difficult night after a very discreet start that put him in the middle of the peloton and having completed the first lap in 11th position. Tomac charged hard on the runway commemorating the last time the series visited the venue and the battle that took place in that race between James Stewart and five-time champion Ricky Carmichael in his last Supercross round. Tomac strode forward and finished fifth at the checkered flag.
