The Yamaha XR9 Carbona It is the result of Yard Built, the tuning fork brand program that gives free rein to preparers and dealers themselves to carry out their preparations on a model of the Japanese brand. From this program, motorcycles such as the XSR700 and XSR900 were derived.
In this case, the Spaniard David Sánchez from Bottpower presents his XR9 Carbona, based on the XSR900 and which will be sold in kit form so that XSR owners can transform their own bikes, but that they can always go back if they wish. Bottpower is also the author of the novel and spectacular Morlaco.
The XR9 Carbona is inspired by the Bottpower BOTT XR1R, a bike made from a Buell and that raced on Pikes Peak.
The Bottpower kit includes a fuel tank cap with integrated carbon fiber air intakes, carbon fiber seat and tail including an alcantara seat, taillights and turn signals, front number plate with integrated LED position lights, radiator caps with spoilers (obviously there have to be fins), two high beam headlights (R1 style), license plate bracket-fender, chain ring cover and a keel.
On a mechanical level, the preparation of the Yamaha XR9 Carbona by Bottpower adds an Akrapovic exhaust, Öhlins suspensions (with carbon fiber fork tubes from CeraCarbon Racing), Brembo brake and clutch pumps, and carbon fiber wheels. Rotobox Boost.
