Guy martin will be part of Team Classic Suzuki together with Pete boast, European flat track champion and current rider from the Isle of Man.
The machine they will carry is the Suzuki Katana GSX1100SD, a Suzuki Katana that has been thoroughly prepared, with important modifications keeping the original chassis. The Suzuki Katana GSX1100SD was already shown at the NEC Motorcycle Show, along with suzuki’s “vintage” special parts program.
The engine has been enlarged until the 1170cc and it has taller cylinder liners and new stainless steel valves. All other engine components have been replaced with genuine parts from Suzuki’s vintage parts program, including connecting rods, connecting rod bushings, crankshaft weight bushings and a reinforced crankcase.
Regarding the cycle, the Suzuki Katana GSX1100SD keeps the chassis, but implements a custom made swingarm by Sweet Fabrications, one of the best structural preparers, also incorporates Dymag rims Y K-tech suspensions.
Guy Martin and Pete Boast are two pilots closely linked to the Hammamatsu factory, having both participated in the Isle of Man TT, and in the case of Guy Martin, achieved several podiums with Suzuki. While Pete boast, has also raced with Suzuki in flat-track, achieving the British and European championships in 2009.

The 4hr endurance race will take place on 1st of July in the circuit of Francorchamps Spa.
