Making his debut aboard The factory CRF450R at the 2021 AMA SX is 2019 and 2020 250SX East Region Champion Chase Sexton, who joined the team for last year’s AMA Pro Motocross championship, performing well and winning the final round. “I learned a lot racing the 450 last season,” Sexton said. “I’m excited to bring that momentum to Supercross, and I feel like I can compete for podiums and even victories.”
As previously announced, the factory team has taken on the 250 effort by 2021, with Australian brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence on CRF250Rs set to campaign in the 250SX East and West regions respectively. “All the hard work is paying off,” said Jett, who is beginning his second full season as an AMA professional. “Now, going into the season, I just want to be consistent and drive smart, drive like a champion and be there in every race.”
Jett’s older brother Hunter missed much of last season due to injuries, but he will start the 2021 season in good health and waiting for a new challenge. “Having this opportunity with Jett is great, because we push each other every day,” Hunter said. “The Honda HRC team has welcomed us with open arms and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
The first round of the 2021 AMA Supercross series will be held in Houston on January 16.
