With the global coronavirus crisis as a backdrop and the absolute protagonist of everything that happens today, Eurosport Events, championship promoter, and the FIM they have revised and approved a new calendar for the 2019-2020 Endurance World Cup.

In addition, both entities have also taken exceptional measures to protect the teams participating in the championship.

The first of the complicated decisions has been the total cancellation of the 8 hours of Oschersleben (Germany), originally scheduled for June 6. This means that the event will not be held or rescheduled.

In this way, the 2019-2020 World Endurance calendar will resume its activity (if possible between now and then) the July 19 at 8 Hours of Suzuka. The 24 Hours of Le Mans Motorcycles (France) will take place from August 29-30.

As you have already seen, Suzuka will no longer be the closing date of the championship. This season that honor will go to Bol d’Or of Le Castellet (France), which is celebrated on the days September 19 and 20.

Aware of the difficulties that the teams are going through, the FIM, Eurosport Events and the organizers of the different races of the Endurance World Cup, are looking for all possible solutions to reduce costs and help participants.

Eurosport Events will help independent teams with an allocation of 1,500 euros per motorcycle for all non-factory teams that have participated in the 24 Hours of Motorcycles and the Bol d’Or.

On the other hand, they have also decided that the tests prior to the 24 Hours of Motorcycles and Bol d’Or are canceled, but the free ones on Tuesday and Wednesday will be extended.
